Urban + Grün Badenstedt is developing seven neighbourhood clusters with different building types that provide a social and functional mix. They are accessed via the “Urban Centre”, a multicoded public space defined by a coexistence of habitation, vegetation, pedestrians, cyclists, cars and rainwater troughs, but without stationary traffic. To the west and south, the urban area is bordered by a “green swing” that visually shields it from the railway embankment and Hermann-Ehlers-Allee.
